American Heart Association BLS & ACLS Classes
Heartsavers of Manatee offers American Heart Association BLS and ACLS classes in Bradenton, Florida, for healthcare professionals who need practical, high-quality training in lifesaving emergency care. Our hands-on courses are designed for nurses, nursing students, physicians, dental professionals, paramedics, EMTs, CNAs and other medical personnel who need initial certification or renewal.
Classes are taught by Casie Piper, BSN-RN, BCEN, a board-certified emergency nurse with more than 20 years of experience in emergency care, CPR, trauma and resuscitation. Her real-world clinical experience helps students understand how lifesaving skills are applied during actual patient emergencies—not simply how to complete the required course.
Students receive supportive instruction, hands-on skills practice and the opportunity to build confidence in recognizing and responding to cardiac emergencies. Same-day certification e-Cards are issued after successful completion of the course requirements. Public classes are available at our downtown Bradenton training location, and mobile private group classes can be scheduled at your workplace or facility.

Students who successfully complete their selected course receive the corresponding American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, or PALS Provider eCard, valid for two years. Classroom and HeartCode options lead to the same course-specific Provider eCard, and all certification cards are issued same day!

HeartCode® Blended Learning
HeartCode BLS, ACLS, and PALS combine self-paced AHA online coursework with an in-person session at Heartsavers of Manatee for hands-on practice and required skills testing. ACLS and PALS sessions also reinforce team-based emergency care through simulated scenarios.
Both the online coursework and hands-on session are required. Completing the online portion alone does not complete the course.

Topics include cardiac rhythm recognition, airway management, emergency medications, defibrillation, cardioversion, resuscitation teamwork, acute coronary syndromes, stroke, and care after cardiac arrest.

Students should be comfortable performing infant and child BLS and arrive prepared to review pediatric assessment, rhythms, and medications.
